    Windermere Nannies offer our services to the Greater Orlando area, including Horizons West, Dr. Phillips, Winter Park, Celebration, Lake Nona, and the surrounding areas. Please reach out if you want to ensure we cover your neighborhood.

  • How do you vet your caregivers?

    All caregivers undergo the same rigorous vetting process.  Our multi-step process begins with resume review and in-person or virtual interviews. We verify past employment and references, as well as current CPR and First-Aid training. All caregivers must pass a competency exam through The International Nanny Association. Lastly, candidates then undergo a criminal background and driving record check.

    Windermere Nannies only accept the top 10% of applicants, to ensure your child’s wellbeing and our standards of care are met.

     

  • How do I book a caregiver?

    Membership is strictly limited to registered families. Once you have registered and paid your one-time registration fee of $50 you can book through our online portal or conveniently from our app once you have completed your family’s profile to include phone, email, address, and payment information.

    Simply fill out the booking form with the services & times needed, select the caregivers you wish to work with, and relax! When one of the caregivers accepts the booking, you will be notified, and they will also reach out to confirm the details.

  • Do you employ the caregivers?

    Windermere nannies is strictly a referral agency, we do not employ nannies or sitters, therefore, a sitter should claim any income taken in from babysitting jobs through Windermere Nannies.

  • Will I get the same caregiver every time?

    While you always have the option of choosing your first preferred caregiver, we recommend selecting 2+ caregivers each time to ensure the sitting job is filled. You can even let the app do its magic and match you with any of our highly qualified and vetted caregivers based on their availability. Between family’s unique needs and caregivers’ unique schedules, it is impossible for us to match you with the same caregiver each time. If the selected caregivers are unavailable, we will reach out to see if you would like to select additional caregivers. We recommend each family work with 4-5 caregivers that your children can become comfortable and familiar with. 

  • Will a caregiver always be available?

    We have a 90% fill rate on all jobs booked 72 hours in advance but are often able to fill jobs on shorter notice. We do NOT guarantee that every booking will get filled regardless of how far in advance it is booked. That said will make every effort to ensure a caregiver is available and are constantly adding exceptional caregivers to our team.

  • What if I need Full-Time or more consistent care?

    For families with a set schedule needing 20+ hours of care per week, we recommend our nanny placement services.  Windermere Nannies will do all the vetting and screening, saving your family countless hours and ensuring you find great care. We also assist you in getting set up to properly employ your nanny. Be advised the IRS requires full-time nannies to be employees of the family they work with and not the referring agency. 

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    While we understand cancellations can sometimes be unavoidable, for any jobs canceled within 12 hours of the start time you will be charged a fee of $30.00. 

  • Should I tip my caregiver?

    While tipping is not necessary if you feel your caregiver provided exemplary service you are certainly welcome to provide gratuity.  Please tip in cash whenever possible.  

  • Are there additional fees?

    Holidays, last-minute bookings, and cancellations are subject to additional fees, please make yourself familiar with our fee schedule below:

    HOURLY SITTER RATES

    Unlimited bookings – $15 per booking.
    Sitter Services – $15/HR (up to 2 children) + $2/HR for each additional child
    Tutoring (4-12 years old) – $25/HR minimum of 2 hours

    ADDITIONAL SERVICES & FEES
    Hotel / Vacation Rental + $10/shift
    Transportation Services + $15/shift (max 1 hour round trip)
    Holiday Rates + $10 shift
